You may be counting footsteps to the nearest bathroom, may be fearful of labour /delivery or simple social events, limiting your travel plans, making decisions not to meet someone new. You may be avoiding your workouts…Pelvic Health provides you with a path to regain control of everyday tasks.

Dr. DeVonnia Bonimy-Lee, PT, DPT, WCS, CLT-LANA, CSST, RYT

Most clients have an idea about their diagnosis, but many do not understand how or why it started. Clients are encouraged to talk openly about uncomfortable topics related to constipation, bladder leakage, erectile dysfunction, painful sex, their birthing experience, without shame or embarrassment.

This approach is about assessing the whole person and normalizing topics which used to be taboo. You will investigate and understand your habits, your strengths and the current resources available to you, for the best possible outcome.

Dr. Bonimy-Lee’s evidence-based approach stems from ABPTS Board Certification in Pelvic Health and nearly two decades of clinical experience in Oncology, Women’s & Men’s Health and post-op care at various facilities over the years including: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYU Langone Medical Center, Doctors Hospital Healthcare System and now in private outpatient Physiotherapy practice in the Bahamas.

Dr. Bonimy-Lee is also a member of the Specialization Academy of Content Experts; since 2019 she is an integral part of a pool of certified specialists to write items for the U.S. Board Specialist Certification examination.

This research informed approach enables her to engage and demystify some of the most complex pelvic floor cases. While her love of yoga and dance help clients explore movement and mobility, renewed confidence and courage.
