James H. Bae, DACM, LAc, is a doctor of Chinese medicine, author, and independent researcher. James's therapeutic background includes the study of traditional Chinese, Japanese, Ayurvedic, and Tibetan medicine. He is authorized to teach Tibetan yoga in various traditional Buddhist lineages. He leads retreats in the United States and internationally with a focus on the inner yogas like tummo and tsalung trulkhor.
Tibetan Yoga includes rare subtle breath, movement and meditation practices uniquely
suited for fostering resilience, mental wellbeing and longevity. In these two classes we
will explore how these mindbody disciplines can support embodied mindfulness and
meditation, but also uniquely address profound healing at subtle energetic and
emotional levels, while promoting nervous system regulation.
Dr. James Bae (DACM, L.Ac) – one of the few international specialists in these yogas -
will overview topics of trauma, anxiety and depression and their relationship to chronic
illness.
We will cover:
Yogic movement systems for self-care, rejuvenation and meditation
Subtle breath practices
Applications for trauma and mindbody healing.
Practices of longevity and rejuvenation
